Joining Kathak Beats was the best decision I have made in my late twenties. Dance has been my passion since I was a little girl and most of my young adulthood was dedicated to dance competitions and performing/teaching in the local community.
However a regret I always had was that I never received a formal training and had no credibility. I wanted to include dance as part of my life in the future and I needed the basic classical training to have that confidence. As a full time physician in training I decided to pursue my Kathak training to build my foundation and follow my passion for dance. Kathak beats not only offers excellent training but also an opportunity to be officially certified in the process with written examinations as part of your training.
Manjusha mam has been the pillar of my journey. She has been patient, kind, and understanding of my long hours and crazy schedule. She has worked with me and pushed me to get the best training. She ensures that I learn at my pace while patiently perfecting my skills. Her dedication towards her students and love for Kathak and teaching is what sets her apart. For me mam is like family, someone who watches out for me, is proud of my accomplishments, and a mentor I am grateful to have in life whose passion for dance is similar to mine.
Even a pandemic couldn’t stop Kathak Beats Academy functioning at its best and I couldn’t be happier to have been a part of this family and hope to stay so in the future.
